"Our recent family getaway to Michelle's place was wonderful. The proximity to the beautiful child friendly Pearl Beach was incredible - a hop skip and a jump away. The two separate pavilions provided plenty of privacy for families and the massive outdoor dining deck and table was our 'go to' happy place.
Michelle thoughtfully provided beach bags as well as a range of toys for the little ones. If you're looking for a great family place to stay near the beach with everything you need - this is it!"

"This is the perfect Spring weather house.
The architecture is most interesting with the main house and a separate studio. There were 4 separate spaces for 4 families and a good efficient working kitchen with a large family sized fridge, long dining table and a number of separate sitting areas for 4 children and 8 adults.
We especially enjoyed the outside private garden space with rustic table and seating for 12 and a fire pit for after dinner conversation. The grounds are beautifully manicured and the black bamboo is a great backdrop which gives a perfect privacy boundary.
The beach is a minute's walk away and Umina only 10 minute drive for grocery shopping.

Great beds and quality linen.
Location just a short walk to the beach.
We enjoyed the quality touches such as linen and blue tooth speakers system to play our Spotify play lists both in and outside areas.
The house was very peaceful and recommend the cafe next door.
Great outdoor fire pit and lounge.
Beautiful outdoor table and chairs.
Also if inclined hire the local Tennis courts for a friendly hit.
Michelle as the host was very responsive for questions and requests.
I would recommend this house for a multi family get together.

The home was over and above what we have ever experienced with Airbnb - there was nothing you could have wanted that wasn't included - beach is literally just a stroll (you can hear the waves crashing). Home was spotless and Michelle's communication was outstanding - we will be back.

We loved our holiday at Dominique’s pls e. The House is such a lovely space to relax and chill out, outdoor fire pit was a perfect hang out area. So close to the beach. Kids retreat area was so fun for them and away from the adults. The separate studio place is a great addition to the house. Had everything we needed, we will be back!

“Wallara” is a stunning property, very stylish, attention to detail - and a great location. Just steps away from the local village shop and cafe, children’s playground and beautiful Pearl Beach. It was perfect for my 70th birthday family weekend away. My granddaughters loved their upstairs room, complete with swing, toys and own TV - and we loved our separate pavilion which afforded that little bit of peace that is sometimes required for the Grandies! Wonderful outside eating area, loved the different sections of the garden which were great for hide ‘n seek and the most perfect tree for family photographs! A great time had by all!

A great 3 night stay with family. It was everything it said it would be with a few extra lovely surprises (for eg: a bottle of wine to welcome us!). We stayed mid winter and had the most amazing getaway. The house was gorgeous and enough room for two families and grandparents. Kids area was an awesome set up - the kids had a wonderful time! The house was such a fantastic set up, designed so well! We enjoyed the lovely warm fireplace at night. Lots to do in the area, quick stroll to the beautiful beach, lunch at The Boathouse Hotel Patonga, also worth checking out the Beautiful Bouddi National Park Coastal Walk. We would love to stay at this house again, it was a perfect holiday.

Relaxing girls w/e away - We recently had a girls w/e @ Wallara with 8 adults in total. House was amazing and in a fantastic location, easy 50m stroll to general store and Pearls restaurant. Backyard was also beautiful space for breaky, lunch and afternoon drinks and nibbles enjoyed outside. Large kitchen bench was useful for nibbles and food prep for 8 adults.

Such a Delight! – From the moment we stepped inside we knew we had chosen well. The property is well appointed, everything has been thought of. When they weren’t playing on the beach (just 2 minutes walk away) our children played happily in the enclosed garden area. The parade of wildlife was entertaining whilst we enjoyed our alfresco dinners under fairy lights of the pear tree. We have already booked for next year.

We went to Wallara with our 3 adult children and their five little boys under 4 years old. It was a fantastic house for us and for the children. Well equipped and beautifully designed. Wallara on Pearl is a beautiful and extremely well designed, equipped and maintained property. It was a joy, and incredibly relaxing, to be able to spread out across its two pavilions, outdoor living areas and tranquil and lush gardens. Dining under the pear tree hung with fairy lights was magical. The kitchen is wonderful to cook in; the attic playroom was a wonderland for the children, as were the lawn and gardens and the bedrooms are very comfortable and quiet. Wallara’s proximity to the local shop, beach and bush were just perfect. Pearl Beach and its surrounds provide an old fashioned, laid back and authentic beach holiday and a real sense of community. Thank you Malcolm (and your caretakers and gardener) for looking after us so well. We had a wonderful holiday and look forward to our return visit.

We had such a lovely few days at Wallara. The house was just perfect for our needs. On two evenings we sat around the fire pit and were visited by a parade of wildlife..possums, bandicoot, owls. In the mornings the bird calls were beautiful and quite different from the morning chorus we hear around Lake Macquarie. We had lots of walks around the village, too, which we loved. Finally, a smartly kitted out holiday home without a second hand sofa in sight! The interiors are sleek and comfortable and the kid area upstairs kept our little ones aged between 3 and 6 entertained and out of the main living room. A little noisy in the bedrooms with the kids just above the two main bedrooms but things like the extra fridge for drinks, high chair, baby gate, kids cups and crockery and hot and cold outside-shower demonstrate that this is a well thought out beach holiday house. We’d love to come back soon.

Wallara was the perfect family escape for our 3 young children, my husband and I and his family visiting from Spain and Turkey. There was something lovely for everyone from the kids’s retreat, the lovely kitchen and outdoor bbq, numerous outdoor spaces to disappear and hide with a good book and the gorgeous outdoor fire pit perfect for roasting marshmallows in winter. The beds were heavenly and the proximity to the rock pool was a big bonus. Thank you for leasing /sharing your beautiful home. We will be back soon.
